Dr.
Diane K. Diehn, NMD
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine
Dr. Diehn is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Integrative Medical Specialists, LLC, in Overland Park, Kansas, where she also practices as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (NMD). Dr. Diehn is trained in Naturopathic Medicine, traditional Western Medicine, Physical Medicine, Environmental Medicine, Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Botanical Medicine, Anthroposophic Medicine, Biological Dentistry, Medicinal Balneotherapy, Clinical Thermography, Enzyme Therapy and Living Food Therapy. She combines all these types of medicines and therapies to assist her in understanding the symptoms that are being expressed by the body before implementing a treatment plan. Dr. Diehn utilizes Clinical Nutrition, Lab Assessment and Evaluation, Diagnostic Imaging, Clinical Thermography, Diet and Lifestyle Therapies, Homeopathy, Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Detoxification and Relaxation Therapies, Biocompatible Dentistry and QRA™(Quantum Reflex Analysis) to help her patients achieve wellness. Her ultimate goal is to promote health and well being, alleviate chronic pain issues, as well as correct immune dysfunction in cancer patients and other chronic disease states. Her passion lies in finding the underlying cause of a health issue, correcting the dysfunction, then bringing the body back into balance.
In 2008, Dr. Diehn completed International Postgraduate Medical Training in Anthroposophic Medicine (IPMT/PAAM). She used this training to enhance her understanding of the anthroposophic medicine, Iscador, otherwise known as Mistletoe extract and its effectiveness on different cancers. In her cancer research, she discovered the work of Ann Wigmore and the Living Foods Lifestyle. She connected with the Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida and teaches their philosophy of a pure enzyme-rich diet, complemented by positive thinking and non-invasive therapies, as essential elements on the path to optimum health. She also trained on the Huggins System of Biological Dentistry, and the Marshall-Aguilera Dental Protocols. To assist her patients, Dr. Diehn has aligned with dentists trained in biocompatible dentistry that practice these protocols. She educates her patients to practice nontoxic dentistry and to make the right dental choice using healthy, biocompatible dental materials rather than toxic dental materials that could cause a problem with their health. She is also a Level I Practitioner of QRA™ (Quantum Reflex Analysis), a kinesiology based system of testing the bio-energetic status of the body’s key organs and glands utilizing medically accepted reflex points. She utilizes this technique to pinpoint problem areas and determine the precise nutrients and the exact amounts needed to rapidly restore the cellular resonance for that area. She has partnered with Premier Research Labs to provide a full line of nutritional, body care and lifestyle products that work synergistically to help each person achieve and maintain great health. These products provide broad-spectrum and living nutrients, no toxic tag-alongs or excipients, with 100% vegetable capsules.
In 2008, Dr. Diehn trained in Clinical Thermography with the International Association of Clinical Thermology (IACT). She introduced this medical infrared imaging technology to her practice, in 2009. With this technology, she is able to obtain early detection of abnormal breast tissue that assists her in formulating treatment plans to help prevent breast cancers. With thermography, she can monitor the effectiveness of changes in lifestyle, diet and nutrition therapies, and hormone regulation without damaging radiation exposure. Dr. Diehn also uses thermography to obtain whole body diagnostics with hyperthermia patterns that are helpful in confirming and detecting potential problem areas in other parts of the body.
In 2009, Dr. Diehn completed her training as a Loomis Digestive Health Specialist with the Loomis Institute. She has incorporated this system into her practice to help determine the hidden causes of patient symptoms, particularly in unresolved health problems. This is based on the work of Dr. Howard F. Loomis, Jr. It is backed by many years of clinical experience and the theoretical food enzyme work of Edward Howell, MD. Dr. Diehn utilizes 24-hour urine testing and reflex diagnostic testing to assess the digestive function of her patients, along with specific enzyme formulations indicated to promote healing. Dr. Diehn also uses this material to further enhance her efforts to teach patients about the life giving properties of enzymes that are available in raw and living foods.
Dr. Diehn is a Kansas native and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Emporia State University, in 1993. She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (SCNM), a Nationally Accredited Naturopathic Medical School in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2003. Dr. Diehn completed an internship with Dr. Peter D'Adamo, N.D., author of the series of books on Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type. She received her Certification as an ABO Blood Type Practitioner, in 2003. Dr. Diehn is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the Kansas Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM), and the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation. She is registered with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts as the tenth Naturopathic Doctor in Kansas. She also received the first Naturopathic Acupuncture Certificate for the State of Kansas based on a Specialty Certification in Acupuncture.
